What is Darlex?

Darlex is the of our ultra-tough material we use for items we manufacture that require superior hold and toughness. Darlex is a three-layer material made up of two layers of spandex bonded together with a layer of synthetic rubber between. This fabric is hypoallergenic, comfortable, and machine washable. Darlex resists wind and water, it is less heat transparent than spandex, but is more heat transparent than canvas or leather, and will not pool sweat like latex. Darlex comes in black and white. Custom colors are not currently available in this material.

Our PVC

The PVC fabric that we use contains no actual poly vinyl chloride (PVC), but is high strength polyurethane coating on a spandex fabric base. The quality of PVC fabric varies substantially based on source and manufacturer. We currently carry a number of different colors and qualities. Our black is the highest quality fashion PVC fabric available in the world, custom manufactured for our factory and have an excellent four-way stretch along with a coating that is highly resistant to delamination.

Our red, white, blue, pink and silver PVCs are special buys that we have in stock from time to time. These fabrics meet our quality standards, but are not quite as stretchy or as durable as our custom made black is.

Fun Fact: PVC sometimes is advertised and sold under the name "faux latex" due to its high shine factor, but unlike latex, PVC is machine washable and never needs polishing to achieve a shine. Because PVC is on a spandex backing, it is easy to put on and take off.

Our Spandex

Our spandex is among the best in the world! Manufactured in the USA, the fiber content of our heavy spandex is 78% nylon 22% spandex, which means it has an amazing stretch factor. Our black, red, blue, grey, and white spandex is 8.2oz in weight, a full 2.4oz heavier than what other manufacturers use. Our nylon spandex is soft and sensual, feels great against your skin, or someone else's! 64 colors available, colors other than black, red, blue, grey, and white come in 6oz weight (.2 oz heavier than what other manufacturers use).

Our Zippers

We use only genuine YKK zippers and zipper parts. YKK has been long recognized as the world leader in zipper quality, and we use heavier than average zippers for our garments so that they will be long lasting and will stay in your collection for a very long time. Darlex items have zip stops included at zipper ends so that you won't have to worry about damaging your items even if you play rough.

Our Snaps

We use only genuine Prym snaps and snap parts.

Our Thread

We use only heavy duty genuine made in the USA Coats and Clark thread for our garment construction. This thread is flexible and hard to break, which makes it perfect for stretch fabrics. Our seams are made to be strong and long lasting, which is why we use four thread sergers instead of the industrry standard three thread, this gives our garments extra strength and durability, as well as the flexibility to move with fabric as it stretches.

Discrete Shipping

All Winter Fetish products are shipped via USPS supplied Priority Mail or Express Mail packaging. Our logos and name do not appear on the outside of the package itself, and the return address name reads "W H I".

Shipping and boxes

All Winter Fetish products are shipped via USPS supplied Priority Mail or Express Mail branded boxes. We offer USPS Express Mail and Priority Mail options for shipping within the United States, and Priority Mail International, Express Mail International, and Global Express Guaranteed service for delivery addresses outside of the United States.

We do not currently offer shipping via FedEx, UPS, or DHL.

Package content declarations

We do our best to protect our customer's privacy on declaration forms. We never list the use or adult nature of our products on any form, and international shipments do not contain an invoice describing items contained within. A sleepsack will ship described as a "sleeping bag liner", an armbinder will ship as a arm sling, and a catsuit will be shipped marked as a costume.

International customs declared value

Import export laws require that we declare the nature and value of the items we ship internationally. We do our best to protect our customer's privacy on declaration forms.

Please note that most countries will hold the recipient responsible for any errors in declared value of an item and any fines or penalties will be sent to the addressee in these matters. When items are insured, they can only be insured for the declared value of the package, so if the item is lost and the full value is not declared, we will be unable to assist you in making a claim for the actual value of any missing item(s).

When should I expect my order to be delivered?

In stock items ship in 2-4 business days. Non-stock items typically ship in 5-7 business days. We use USPS Priority Mail shipping standard, which delivers anywhere in the United States in 2-3 days, and delivers worldwide in 3-10 days depending on destination. You should recieve an email from usps.com within 24 hours of your item shipping, this email will contain tracking details so that you can check on the status of your shipment.

Express Mail shipments typically arrive in one business day in the United States and 2-3 days worldwide, depending on country.

Sizing and exchange policy:

We are happy to accept unworn standard item merchandise or merchandise that has been tried for fit without directly contacting the genitals for another size of equal value for the cost of shipping. (Washington state law prohibits the return of previously worn intimate apparel and lingerie that has come in direct contact with genitalia.) Exchanges must be pre-authorized from Customer Support. We are not responsible for unauthorized returns. Returns must meet our standards for cleanliness and may not be accepted if they have been exposed to deoderants, colognes, purfumes, or other scents that are absorbed in to the fabric. Items that are in worn or otherwise are not in new condition may not be returned for exchange or refund.

A 50% restock charge applies to canceled orders and items returned for refunds. Additional charges may apply for items not returned in new condition. Rush fees and shipping costs are non-refundable. Sale, seconds, and discontinued items sales are final, refunds, returns, or size exchanges are not allowed for these items. Returns and exchanges must be requested within 21 days of purchase. We do not accept returns for refund on items purchased during the Halloween holiday period between September 25th and November 6th. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.

Are Custom or Customized Items Available?

Unfortunately, our shop is unable to offer custom made items at this time other than our genuine Ledermiester branded items. This helps keep our shipping and manufacturing times low and our quality high.

Can I return an item which I have purchased?

If you change your mind about an item you have purchased, you may return it to us as long as it is received within 21 days of purchase. There is a 50% restock fee for all returns. If the item is damaged, has been worn, has been exposed to colognes, perfumes or other scents, or is otherwise not in new condition it may not be returnable for a refund. Rush fees and shipping costs are non-refundable. We do not accept returns for refund on items purchased during the Halloween holiday period between September 25th and November 6th.

Custom, customized, or sale items under our seconds and discontinued category sales are final and may not be returned for a refund. Refunds may take up to 30 calendar days to complete.

Can I Share My Product Ideas With You?

We do not do custom work. Unsolicited ideas submitted must be and will be considered to be free of copyright with implicit permission given for our use of the idea as basis for product design on a royalty-free basis. We may or may not review and/or develop your idea based on available time and resources by our staff.

We are honored that you consider our production facility of high quality and our design team to be skilled such that you would wish for us to explore your ideas. Our apologies if your concept is not either considered or produced, as time and design limitations do not allow us to explore each and every suggestion.
